Today January 5th 2010 I've work on my web page, added the first page where I talk about the history of venezuela.

Discovery:

Venezuela was discovered on Cristobal Colon's Third trip, on August 2nd of 1498. when he an hes crew stteped on continental land at the "mouth of the Orinoco river" exactly at the "Peninsula de Paria" (this was the first time they step on America continental land).

 

Giving the name:

    Whom who made the first expedition across the country was Alonso de Ojeda, departing from Spain in May of 1499, after passing the "Peninsula de Paraguana" he arrived to the Golf of Coquivacoa (Golf of Venezuela). There he was impressed with the houses he found there built on the water wich reminds him of Venezia. Also in this expedition was Americo Vespucio. 

Conquest:

The Spanish had two main reasons to conquer this territory.
